-
Program Rules: Students agree to follow all rules and regulations set out by the Toronto Institute of Bartending and its instructors. Violations may result in dismissal without certification.

Class Availability: Enrolment does not guarantee placement in a desired program start or class date. Rescheduling may be required.
-
Final Sale Policy: All sales are final. No refunds are offered for any reason.
-
Rescheduling Option: Students may request to move to a different available date at no additional charge if they notify TIB in writing before the original start date.
-
Transfer Option: Enrollment may be transferred to another person with advance written notice to TIB.

Filling Spots: Students may also find their own replacement to fill their spot with advance written notice to TIB. TIB may, at its discretion, help fill the spot but is not obligated to do so.
-
After First Class: Rescheduling is not available once a student has attended the first class (in whole or part).
-
Short-Notice Registration: Programs/workshops booked less than 48 hours before start time are non-transferable and non-reschedulable.
-
Attendance Responsibility: Lateness, absence, or failure to notify TIB may mean missed material cannot be made up.
-
No-Show Policy: Students who fail to attend a scheduled start date without prior notice are not entitled to reschedule and must pay full tuition to re-enroll.
-
Attendance Requirement: Missing more than 25% of a program/workshop disqualifies students from testing and certification. Missed classes may be rescheduled if space allows.
-
Testing Policy: Students who do not pass their first test are allowed one additional attempt at no charge. Additional retakes after that will incur a $75.00 testing fee per attempt.
-
Program Changes: Training methods, materials, equipment, or workbooks may change over time and may not match past versions.
-
Valid Identification: Acceptable forms of I.D. are required for age-restricted programs. Staff may refuse entry if I.D. is invalid. Students who fail to provide valid I.D. are not entitled to attend and may only reschedule with applicable fees.
-
Lost Materials: Students are responsible for replacing lost or misplaced workbooks/manuals at the stated replacement cost.
-
Payment Methods: The Toronto Institute of Bartending accepts only cash payments in person or online payments through our website.

Personal Belongings: TIB is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.
-
Use of Images: Photos taken by TIB on school premises may be used at TIB’s discretion without compensation.
-
Additional Terms: Further terms and conditions may apply depending on the specific program or workshop.
Liability and Assumption of Risk Waver
Please read carefully. By enrolling, students acknowledge and accept the following:
-
Assumption of Risk: I understand that bartending and flair bartending involve inherent risks and dangers, including latent (unknown) defects in equipment. These activities require good physical health. I agree to inform the Toronto Institute of Bartending in writing before training begins of any physical conditions that might impair my participation (e.g., heart conditions, injuries). I acknowledge that participation may result in injury or illness, including but not limited to bodily injury, disease, fractures, strains, partial or total paralysis, death, or other serious disability.
-
Nature of Flair Bartending: “Flair,” “Working Flair,” “Performance,” and/or “Extreme Bartending” involve manipulating bartending objects such as drinking glasses, bottles, practice bottles, shaker tins, pour spouts, and other tools. These actions carry inherent risks of injury to participants and observers.
-
Acceptance of Responsibility: I assume all risks, dangers, and responsibility for any losses or damages, whether caused in whole or in part by the negligence or other conduct of owners, agents, officers, employees, or other students—foreseeable or unforeseeable.
-
Release and Indemnification: As consideration for services provided, I release, waive, discharge, hold harmless, defend, and indemnify the Toronto Institute of Bartending, its employees, agents, and other students from any and all claims, actions, or losses for bodily injury, property damage, wrongful death, loss of services, or other liability arising from participation in activities arranged by the Toronto Institute of Bartending. This agreement is binding upon my personal representatives and heirs.
-
Waiver of Claims: I understand that I am expressly releasing, discharging, and waiving any present or future claims, actions, or suits for negligent acts or other conduct by the Toronto Institute of Bartending, its employees, agents, officers, or other students. I agree not to initiate any action against them for any injury or damages resulting from my participation in activities provided by the Toronto Institute of Bartending.
